Getting Started

How do I download ScorX?

Download ScorX for free from the App Store. Search "ScorX" or visit our Download page. Requires iOS 18.0 or later.

Is ScorX really free?

Yes. ScorX Free is always free with unlimited teams, players, and games — no credit card required, ever. Core scoring, tracking, and team management tools are free for coaches, parents, and athletes alike.

How do I create my first team?

After downloading, complete the onboarding flow, select your sport, then tap "Create Team." Add player names, jersey numbers, and photos.

Can I track multiple sports?

Absolutely! ScorX supports 16 sports. You can switch between sports anytime from the home screen.

Subscriptions & Billing

What does ScorX Premium include?

ScorX Premium (A$49.99/year or A$4.99/month, 30-day free trial) adds three capability areas on top of the unlimited free core: AI analytics (personalised training recommendations, AI Season Narratives), advanced analytics (age and sex-specific athleticism benchmarking), and graphics (full Player Card style library, sticker format, custom colours). Also includes PDF & CSV export, iCloud sync across devices, and Apple Family Sharing for up to 5 members.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

Download ScorX and tap "Start Free Trial" in the app. No credit card required. After 30 days, choose to subscribe or continue with Free tier.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → ScorX → Cancel Subscription. No cancellation fees.

Can I share my subscription with family members?

Yes. ScorX Premium supports Apple Family Sharing — share with up to 5 family members at no extra cost.

What happens if I cancel ScorX Premium?

Your data is preserved. You'll continue with ScorX Free and lose access to Premium features (AI recommendations, benchmarking, full Player Card library, iCloud sync, and export), but all your teams and game history remain on your device.

Using ScorX

How do I start a new game?

Tap "New Game" from the home screen, select your sport and teams, configure timer settings, then tap "Start Game."

Can I use ScorX offline?

Yes. ScorX works fully offline. Score games anywhere without internet connection. iCloud sync occurs automatically when you reconnect (ScorX Premium only).

How do I track player-specific actions?

During a game, tap the player's name, then tap the action button (e.g., "Goal," "Assist," "Tackle"). The action is recorded instantly.

How do I export my game data?

(ScorX Premium only) Open a completed game, tap the export icon, choose CSV or PDF format, then share via email or save to Files.

Sports & Features

Which sports does ScorX support?

ScorX supports 16 sports: AFL, Basketball, Netball, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Touch Rugby, Soccer, Field Hockey, Volleyball, Water Polo, Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Racquetball, Pickleball, and Table Tennis.

Can you add [my sport]?

We're always expanding! Email your sport request to scorxapp@gmail.com and we'll consider it for future updates.

Does ScorX work for doubles in racquet sports?

Yes! ScorX supports singles and doubles for all racquet sports (Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Table Tennis, etc.).

iCloud & Sync

How does iCloud sync work?

(ScorX Premium only) ScorX automatically syncs your teams, players, and game history across all devices signed into the same iCloud account. iCloud sync is not available on ScorX Free.

Why isn't my data syncing?

Check: (1) You have an active ScorX Premium subscription, (2) iCloud is enabled in Settings → ScorX → iCloud Sync, (3) You're signed into the same iCloud account on all devices, (4) You have an internet connection.

Is my data backed up?

(ScorX Premium) Yes, automatically via iCloud. (ScorX Free) Data is stored locally on your device — back up your iPhone via iCloud or iTunes to protect your records.

Privacy & Data

Does ScorX track my personal data?

No. ScorX has no third-party analytics, no ads, and no data sharing. Your game data stays on your device (or in your private iCloud if syncing).

Where is my data stored?

(Free tier) Locally on your iPhone/iPad in an encrypted database. (Family tier) Locally + synced to your private iCloud account using Apple's end-to-end encryption.

Troubleshooting

The app crashed / froze. What do I do?

Force close the app and reopen. If the issue persists, email scorxapp@gmail.com with your device model and iOS version.

How do I report a bug?

Email scorxapp@gmail.com with: (1) Description of the bug, (2) Steps to reproduce, (3) Device model, (4) iOS version. We'll investigate ASAP.
